Ultimate Muscle Confusion Bootcamp 22.02.2021

What if you didn’t’ start your new workout regimen today, January 1, 2019? What if you don’t start eating better this week? So what? It’s never too late to begin. You might feel like you are out of it or like It’s no use. But any change you make is good, just as long as it’s done with an intent on changing who you are permanently. Yes, it’s never too late to start (See #2). But here’s the deal: when you feel that feeling, like you want to lose weight, or get stronger, or feel better, you must act. Not tomorrow, not next month, not on Monday. Now. You must act now. Feed that feeling with something- anything- to start momentum. It doesn’t have to be anything elaborate. Do a quick 10 minute workout from the Coach Bobby YouTube page. Or go for a run (not the most efficient, but it’ll do for a start). Or go buy things that you know you should eat. Now. Or join that class or Bootcamp. Now. Or order that program that will help you get in shape. Not tomorrow. Not on Monday. Now. The challenge to stat committed is real. I know and understand. Why? Because you have no real need to be fit. It’s not like it was for our ancestors, who had to walk down to the stream to get their water. We don’t have to hunt and gather our food like our ancestors did. And they had to build their own houses and vehicles and tools, whereas we can drive down to the local store or dealership- or worse, sit at a computer- to get ours. Making matters worse, once you’ve o...utgrown your teens and early 20s, where attraction of the opposite sex used to serve as motivation (this, too, decreases with each generation, sadly), and as you age and more people become unfit and other things (money, status, etc) take priority when finding a mate, the real need to be healthy and fit drastically reduce. And that would be fine. If you didn’t feel bad when you undressed or went to the beach. So those two things- the fact that there is no ‘real’ need to be fit coupled with the fact that somehow you still feel like you should- make for a very challenging mental hurdle that getting and staying fit requires. Here’s the good news. You don’t need to change too much too soon. In fact, I recommend you don’t. Whatever you are doing now, whether a little or a lot, just take 1-2 small steps every week or two. If you have not been working out for months or years, commit to 2 or 3 days. If you are currently drinking a 6-pack of soda every day, commit to 3 or 4 per day, with an intent on permanently reducing your habit. The idea is that it shouldn’t be overly challenging. Just enough discomfort to make your body change a little. Get a Free Copy of my 19 Tips for Fitness Success https://ultimate-muscle-confusion.com/19-tips-for-fitness-/

Again, I’m working under the assumption that you’ve decided to marry your Better You and commit to permanent change (See #4). Since we are doing that, and using the same philosophy as #7, let’s make sure we don’t change anything that we can’t and won’t do forever, or at least the foreseeable future. For example. If I am not working out at all currently, yet I know I should make it a permanent part of my life, it is foolish to commit to going to the gym every day at 6 am.... Not going to happen. But I can certainly see myself doing it twice a week (using #6, I schedule it for Monday and Wednesday) with a walk on the weekends. Forever. I can see myself doing that forever. When you make changes in this way, you are much more likely to keep progressing and feeling good about your journey. Your odds for success- both immediate and long term- increase exponentially.
