October 22nd - 28th is Open Access Week! On May 21, 2012, the UCSF Academic Senate voted to make electronic versions of their published articles freely available to the public. The unanimous vote of the faculty senate made UCSF the largest scientific institution in the nation to adopt an open-access policy and among the first public universities to do so.

Today! UCSF faculty will vote on a proposed Open Access Policy which would make faculty scholarship more widely available and accessible. UCSF would join over 140 academic institutions with an open access policy.
