We had a fantastic Showcase yesterday for the PoNG Internship Program! These 10 are among the 22 interns present for the event. We packed the house! Check out the intern's webpages to learn more about them and their projects. http://pong-center.ucsd.edu/internship.html
It's been almost a year since we posted anything. First, SORRY! We love our community and want you to know that we're still here. Second, it's for a good reason. We are SO SO SO busy around here. We are currently collecting data for multiple projects from healthy cognitive aging to video game training in young children with autism and ADHD, from developing engineering algorithms to detect joint attention behavior through eye tracking glasses and give feedback in real time to using virtual and augmented reality to foster communication and cooperation among our ASD population. It's such exciting stuff that we've barely had time to catch our breath. So stay tuned for more developments from RADLab and the PoNG center and, as always, feel free to reach out to us!!
A week late, but nonetheless important. RADLab had the great honor and privilege to be a part NFAR's Race for Autism again this year. It's a fantastic event for fundraising but also just for fun. My little one loves it!! One of our own RADLab-ers, Josh Mandap, and a group of students from UCSD even volunteered to come clean up afterward. Way to be a hero, Josh!

Right on the heels of our article in Spectrum (republished in Science Magazine), we're continuing our unanticipated but much welcomed press junket. We were so honored to receive a visit from 10 News' Jim Patton, who so faithfully portrayed our internship in a local segment and, more importantly, the character and success of our interns. To see more of their amazing work, join us for a showcase of their work and personal achievements on Aug. 9th, 11:30 - 1:30 at UCSD's Qualcomm Institute
We are so thankful for the opportunity to share our vision and progress. We are thankful to Sarah for faithfully reflecting the challenges faced today with the autism population and the research of it. We are most thankful for the community we serve.
