In 2018, Phase 2 of the Geisel Library Revitalization Initiativethe renovation of the 8th (top) floorwas completed. Library leadership, Executive Vice Chancellor Elizabeth Simmons, and Associated Students President Kiara Gomez reopened the floor during a ribbon cutting ceremony, and students enjoyed other fun activities in the space throughout the day. The floor remains a space for individual silent study and houses the Z Collection, an assortment of books about books.
