Juanita Uche Iheanacho has been awarded the University Service Award for her generous, caring service to the campus community. We can't imagine anyone more deserving of this distinction! Uche is graduating from the 2021 class of the Professional Writing Minor, Multimedia Communication. She is also working on creative writing projects in the Writing Program's Gabler Promise Scholars Program. Next, she's going to continue her education in graduate school at SFSU! Uche @ji_ol...ogy shared a few words on this important distinction: "Throughout my four years here at UCSB, my service to our community has rarely felt like work. I've learned the true importance and impact of community organizing, and I couldn't have done any of it without my network of support and the strong communities that have nurtured and taught me since I stepped foot on campus. It's been such a joy having the opportunity to connect with so many friendly people to make great things happen, and this is a positive experience I will carry forward with me wherever I go!"
