One of the most common side effects of the COVID-19 pandemic has been the level of long-term stress and anxiety people have been feeling. While those feelings are our brain's way of trying to keep us safe from immediate harm, we have to find ways to quiet our minds for the sake of our long-term health. Make sure to take care of yourself by limiting your exposure to the constant flow of news stories and take part in calming activities like meditation, exercise and nurturing your social connections. Three community development groups have teamed up to launch an accelerator for low-income San Diegans particularly the region's unemployed and underemployed at UC San Diego's new downtown center.
