Are you an animal lover? Do you want to educate UCLA students and school children in LA about the no-kill movement? Bruin Animal Rescue Coalition (BARC), formerly known as No-Kill Initiative at UCLA, is composed of animal-loving members who volunteer at animal shelters and work to educate UCLA students and school children in LA about the no-kill movement. BARC helps make volunteering at shelters more accessible to students by providing shifts to local shelters and free transp...ortation to and from sites. CSC presents Project BRITE, an organization that champions social equality for underprivileged and underserved youth, promotes the dignified rehabilitation of incarcerated youth, and eliminates recidivism among youth involved in the criminal justice system. Specifically, they tackle this issue by focusing on the effects of the school-to-prison pipeline in communities around Los Angeles.
