TONIGHT - Open Office Hours for The Prehistory of Black Lives Matter seminar with Professor JanMohamed. Join the Read Along with Berkeley English private group to get the Zoom meeting link. https://www.facebook.com/groups/4180333662042072... You don't have to be reading along with the seminars to join the open office hours! It's really a no-pressure zone to come, ask questions, and see what's happening in the department. In last week's office hours, Professor Lee and Professor Best shared their experiences teaching the undergraduate version of the seminars (English 190). It was interesting to hear their thoughts and get a sense of what it's like to be an English major right now.

We have exciting news! This fall, we're bringing the UC Berkeley English classroom back to our community. Read Along with Berkeley English is a new program we've started to reunite literature lovers and encourage intellectual conversation. We will be offering three unique seminars curated by our amazing English professors. Every month this fall (September - November) a reading guide and set of discussion questions will be released for each seminar. At the end of the month, pr...ofessors will hold online office hours where members can ask questions and dive deeper into the discussion topics. The program is free and open to all! The easiest way to stay updated and see what other members are talking about is by joining our Facebook group "Read Along with Berkeley English" and visiting our website. We're looking forward to reading along with you this semester! https://english.berkeley.edu/berkeley_engli/give_to_English
