Learn Capoeira in person! As part of our 2021 Spring Workshop Series: Introduction to Capoeira with with Jesús Gutiérrez will be starting this Friday! This 4-class series class is an introduction to the art form of Capoeira for teens and adults which will prepare you to join our regular schedule of classes. This class will include instruction on the musical, physical, and philosophical aspect of Capoeira. This is a hybrid, which will be meeting in person at a park in Berkel...ey (weather permitting) and through zoom. Hello UCA Berkeley Family, As of earlier today, March 16th, all Bay Area counties have issued Stay at Home orders from local governments. This hold is in effect until April 7th and applies to all non-essential activities. This means that UCA Berkeley will be closed until at least April 7th. The safety of our community and our loved ones is paramount, so let's all do our part to reduce further exposure and in no time we will be back together, stronger than ever. Capoeira is ...a resilient community. Our resilience is rooted in our diversity of experiences, cultures, talents and backgrounds. Let's share our resilience with others around us and find ways to stay connected and give each other support during this chaotic time. We are grateful for your support and appreciate those of you have chosen to continue your tuition payments to help ensure that we are able to get right back to normal once this passes. For those of you on class cards, we will offer extensions as needed. Lastly, while we are looking into a way to do a parent & child class online, we will most likely reschedule Pre-Capoeira classes once we are able to get back to action. For those of you that have the facility to make a donation, your kindness will help us get to the other side ready to pick up where we left off.
