PhD Candidate, Maya Weeks has been very busy... she recently had numerous publications released: An excerpt from the long poem that is part of my dissertation project, Hold Fast, published in Rare Earth: The Ground is Not Digital, publication number 5, from Living Room Light Exchange. The poem title is "Hold Fast (Temporary Painting)." I also performed at Living Room Light Exchange's October 2020 event. An excerpt from my manuscript Myth of the Garbage Patch was published in... Tarpaulin Sky Magazine this year. Two paintings, "I Have Been Being Demanded To Be Absolutely Tuned Into My Intuition At All Times" and "Adult Lamprey Sighted in San Luis Obispo Creek, Cries 'Loosen Up'" were published in Two if By Sea, Volume One. And I have a poem, "Vortex of Light (Ice Memoriam)," in Energy Culture: Art and Theory on Oil and Beyond, edited by Imre Szeman and Jeff Diamanti, published November 2019 on West Virginia University Press.
