UC Berkeley Jazz and Improvised Music Initiative

The Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective will perform their repertoire from this semester next Wednesday evening, December 6th at 7:30pm in the UC Jazz Studio (basement of Cesar Chavez). Repertoire will include pieces by Vijay Iyer, Don Cherry, Allison Miller, and Myra Melford. Admission is free, but seating is limited, so please arrive promptly!

Cal Day plans! A small group of members from the Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective will perform tomorrow at the Music Department - Morrison Hall, room 125 from 11:30am to noon. Come check it out!

This Wednesday, April 12th, the Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective will perform a joint concert with UC Jazz at Hertz Hall as part of the UC Berkeley Department of Music's free noon concert series. You're invited to come check out our new repertoire!

A major result of the Jazz & Improvised Music Initiative at Berkeley is the Berkeley Nu Jazz Collective, a small advanced group of improvisers with an expansive repertoire, including free jazz and contemporary improvised music.
