Hey Everyone, Coach Duke and several members of the Pillar Point Harbor Patrol will be paddling for 24-hours (relay style) starting at 8:00 am on Saturday, April 18th in Half Moon Bay. They are not a foundation or a charity. They don’t have red tape. Their goal is a simple one: Fill two envelopes with donations and hand them to Jessica Meza, the mother of 11-year-old Hernan Lopez who is dealing with leukemia and to Wyatt Werneth, a rescue swimmer for the Brevard County Sherif...f’s Aviation unit who was diagnosed with neck cancer in January. Cancer is a taker. It wants everything from us - our health our confidence, our families. And it is relentless. Statistics say 1 in 3 people will arm wrestle with cancer in their lifetime. But what about the other 2 people? Our job is to stand in the gap. Fill that void with love, compassion and our ability to GO when our friends can’t. A breath of normalcy for them - thanks to you. We want to get a group of Twin Lakes Surf Team and Club members to join in on the paddle and fundraiser. The girls were champs yesterday! They did a great job in both their shortboard and longboard heats and despite having to wait until the last 5 minutes of their longboard heat to paddle out, they still got us 9 valuable team points!
