As we all begin to navigate our new norm, let us not forget the children. Turkey Creek Montessori is now accepting applications for the 2020/2021 school year.

Late Post... Halloween pumpkin patch fun

* Gathering quantities and matching them to numerals. This child loves to count by 10's! Once he gathered quantities to 90, He wanted to know what happened to 100. I was able to get a hundred square and show him that 10 10s makes 100!! The Golden bead material is my all time favorite. More to come!! I love how the Montessori method of teaching allows children to be challenged no matter what level they're at.

We had an amazing visitor this week! Mrs. Shickle came to share with us about Japan! She brought in clothes for the children to try on, books for us to look at and origami paper for us to fold!

Over the last 3 months, the children have been learning about geography and zoology. Today we took a trip to the Sacramento zoo to visit the animals from all the continents. We were able to determine whether the animal was a bird, reptile, mammal or fish and which continent they come from. The weather was perfect and the animals were out and about! #turkeycreekmontessori @ Sacramento Zoo
