Los Angeles County has met the threshold for the least restrictive yellow tier in the State's Blueprint for a Safer Economy. A revised Los Angeles County Health Officer Order will go into effect on Thursday, May 6, to reflect newly permitted activities.
These Orange Tier changes have gone into effect today at 12:01am. Please continue to be vigilant, keep wearing your mask, keep distance from others, and follow public health guidelines.
Thank you Ron Webster.

To celebrate #NationalWildlifeDay we have an exciting announcement to make! The Wildlife Crossing at Liberty Canyon has officially been awarded a $5M grant to... help fund the final engineering and construction of a crossing over the 101 freeway! This crossing will allow wildlife to safely traverse over busy Los Angeles freeways. As some may know, the RCD's very own Executive Officer was the architect for the schematic design of the overpass landscape and structures over Agoura Road and the 101. With this funding Caltrans and its team can now begin final engineering and construction documents. We are so thrilled to see this exciting project come to life.
Mountains are unique structures on the Earth's surface! But how do they get that way? Did you know our mountains are on the move? How did the Santa Monica Mount...ains form? Join Ranger Nico on a virtual tour around Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area to learn how our mountains moved into place and how they influence us every day. See more
