The 2020 Tulare County Fair successfully celebrated the talents of the community, allowed youth to showcase their livestock and delivered fun fair food. A total of 271 animals were sold in the Dairy Heifer replacement sale and the Junior Livestock Auction, with a total value of $764,000. The youth worked so hard preparing their animals and we are grateful for the buyers who made that hard work pay off, noted Dena Rizzardo, CEO of the Tulare County Fair. Each student deserv...ed to see their projects through to the end. The modified version of the Fair attracted 3,500 people per day. The fair was the first drive-thru fair in the state of California. The event offered traditional and new taste treats, including a bacon churro cheeseburger, along with displays of local art, a dinosaur exhibit, a circus act, antique tractors, live entertainment and more. We are grateful to all who helped make this event a success, with a particular thank you to our generous sponsors, Rizzardo said. Major sponsors for this year’s fair were Bueno Beverage Company, Garton Tractor, Inc - Tulare, KRC Safety, Inc., Land O'Lakes, Quality Machinery Center, ResCom Pest Control, Tulare County Farm Bureau, Stone Chevrolet Buick GMCS, United Cold Storage, 9 Iron Bar & Grill, Tulare Golf Course, Quinn Company, The Goshen Mounted Police, Tulare Thunderbowl Raceway, MPA Construction, Tulare Sales Yard, and Visalia Livestock Market. We launched the modified fair as a way to bring the community together in a positive way, Rizzardo added. I think we accomplished that.

We are excited to have this new creation from BOSS BURGER during Tulare Drive-Thru Fair. See you this weekend, Sept. 18-20, from noon -10 pm daily.

Giant bugs to invade Tulare County Fair drive-thru. The Tulare County Fair, Sept. 18-20, has added giant new attractions to the first-ever drive-thru fair. Bugology will allow Fair attendees to experience an 8-foot long beetle, a 7-foot tall snail, a fly with a 12-foot wingspan and more.... The eight giant creatures will be activated as drive-thru attendees approach. Sensors will activate and the creatures will move and make sounds. Attendees will be able to get photos and live human guides will be on hand to answer questions. We focus on wildlife education via fairs, but this is our first time at the Tulare County Fair, noted Karla Majewski, owner of Pacific Animal Productions. This display allows kids to learn more about a variety of bugs, while adhering to all COVID regulations. From Sept. 18 through 20, attendees can enjoy a drive-thru for fair treats, including cotton candy, caramel and candy apples, corn dogs, funnel cakes and fresh lemonade. The fee is $5 per person, but children 12 and under can participate at no charge. Wristbands will be issued so that families can go through as many times as they like on the same day and only pay the $5 fee once per day. The Bugology attraction is free with admission.
