We salvaged a nice Oak log in the beautiful town of Meadow Vista. The crane scale came in at 24k lbs likely closer to 20k but a very large tree. I counted the rings on this tree. 4th pic shows tacks I placed at every 20 rings. Tree appears to be close to 220 years old. Hard to imagine all that has happened in its lifetime. Happy we were given the opportunity to put it to better use then a firewood pile.

Last night we had the privilege to have a small part in a new show, on HGTV, called Wasted Space. The show stared a local Folsom designer Design Shop Interiors and covered an amazing renovation in Loomis. We build a mantle for the project. Broke in the new trailer with some 25’ Liquid Amber logs. Nice to be able to haul larger, harder to get, material. I see a lot of 24’ slabs in the future. Thanks to all the local tree companies that include us in their removals.

A new addition to the Truwood fleet. Had this 24’ tilt, custom built, with reinforced everything. It’s a tank! A second round of modifications will be happening soon. This will make loading and hauling monster logs easy and safe.

A few Redwood tables we finished up this week. We have over 1000 Redwood slabs available in almost any size you can think of. Pick one out for your DIY project or we would be happy to finish it for you.

A beautiful book matched Black Walnut table. These were a couple of the slabs from our recently added inventory. We have hundreds of these Walnut slabs available for commission.

It was tricky to take pics with all the reflection from the lights. We have another piece going to the same location later this week so we will try for better pics then. Also show how nice this office is. A very cool office renovation and this table fits right in!

We have had multiple trucks come in everyday for almost 2 weeks straight adding hundreds of Black Walnut slabs to our inventory. Still 8-10 loads to go over the next week. We haven’t sorted though everything yet but really looking forward to laying out some amazing pieces! Had a few truck loads of Walnut logs come into the yard today, 80k-100k lbs. These were salvaged from a new residential development happening in West Sacramento. Some really nice 4’-5’ diameter logs and this monster that’s close to 7’ at its widest point! Grateful for the opportunity to salvage these logs and looking forward to milling some slabs.

Today is an exciting day!!! We added close to 1000 Claro Walnut slabs to our inventory, 40,000-50,000 board feet. We have about 20 more truck loads like these coming in over the next week or 2. A lot to sort through. Much of it is dry, and some needs a little more time but we should have a great selection for any project. Looking forward to opening up these stacks and laying out some amazing projects!
