Truitt Bark Park will temporarily be closed for two days next week, Tuesday and Wednesday 10/22 and 10/23, as construction work begins for the installation of new shade structures. The Bark Park is set to re-open Thursday, 10/24. The seven shade structures are set to be installed in November. These will be exciting additions to the park to provide much needed shade for visitors and their pets!
It may not be downtown, but this Rocklin festival helps raise money for local canine rescue groups as well as the Rocklin dog park. Activities include wiener dog races, art projects, a dog obstacle course, costume parade, dog themed vendors, live entertainment, food trucks, and more!
Two more days until the park cleanup! Join us on Saturday (6/1) at 9am to help refill bark and do some light weeding in the small dog park. It takes a village so all volunteers are welcome. Please bring some work gloves if possible.

"A decade on, a once-sleepy neighborhood is experiencing quite the transformation. The once-polluted land at the corner of 19th and Q has transformed into the Brooks #TruittBarkPark, which opened in summer 2017. This, in turn, has helped usher in a series of high-profile residential projects along Q Street connected to longtime developer Sotiris Kolokotronis that could make this one of the most densely-populated sections of the central city."
