Hello! The reptiles and amphibians were feeling photogenic this morning ! Check out the pics for a peek at some of the fun critters in store right now. We have an assortment of cool ball python morphs including an all white, blue eyed Mojave Russo female, a Cinnamon Banana male and many others as well! We also have some White's Tree frogs, Amazon milk frogs and Pac-Man frogs. Other highlights include an axanthic blue tonged skink and a green keeled lizard. Here is a little video showing some of the cool features of our Custom Aquariums 240 gallon fancy goldfish system. This tank is located in the foyer of the shop and is definitely worth checking out. As the name Custom Aquariums implies these tanks can be configured however you like. They can be used for fresh or marine tanks. Five years ago today was the final step of one of the biggest things I have ever done. Five years ago brought the culmination of a year of work, research and so...ul searching and the result was my purchase of the most awesome, most terrifying, most humbling, and yes most expensive thing I have hever done. Five years ago brought the end of my career as an employee and manager in the pet industry and marked my first steps into ownership. Five years ago I bought a business I had come to care for as a customer and when I found out that it was going to sell I knew, I wanted the shot. I wanted out of the soul grinding corporate retail culture I was in and I wanted to show what I could do... Five years ago today I bought Tropics Aquarium Professionals with my wife Lanor Messenger Five years ago today my amazing journey began with a 650 sq ft specialty aquatic shop... Within 9 months we had doubled in size, met some amazing people learned a lot and were feeling pretty good... Then out of the blue at our 3 year mark we found out we had to move... OMG what do we do? Well we find a new location first day looking, come up with a design, a plan and with huge effort and many nail biting moments here we are 2 years later. In our amazing 2400 sq ft location 4x the size of our original, we added some reptiles and WOW the results are amazing, our customers are FANTASTIC and we look forward to many more years of service to our customers! Trying a new protocol on the 300 Display based on a recomendation from a coral farm we deal with. Korallen-zucht line makes a tablet that only needs to be added every 4 months. Out of the 5 varieties offered, the following four were recomended for us. B-Balance, K-Balance, Potassium Iodide flouride and Amino Acid Concentrate. As we run miracle mud, Iron was not recomended. Also flatworm stop as a slime coat thickener and color enhancer will be added. As we try this we are happy to order in for anyone who is interested. If we are happy with the results we will carry the line permanently.
