Below is the agenda. Freedive Shop Season Opening Talk Date: March 18th 2500 Del Monte, STE 110 West Sacramento Cost: $10 (Cost goes to cover included lunch, chairs, presentation equipment/facility) Topic: Diver opportunities in upcoming abalone regulatory action. Discuss the future of abalone regulations for the 2018 Abalone season and beyond, and help shape the next abalone management plan. Presented by: Josh Russo - President of the Waterman's Alliance Board member of SCAN North Coast Rep on CA DFW RAAC Sonke Mastrup Chief of Invertebrates California Department of Fish and Wildlife Schedule: 10:00 AM Doors Open 11:00 AM Presentation Starts 12:00 Lunch 1:00 PM Q&A/ Statements 2:00 PM Event ends Immediately following the event, the department will be holding the next RAAC meeting in the same location. There is no charge to attend the RAAC meeting. This means you can hit two important meetings on abalone regulations in one day, on a weekend, close to home.

Included in these temporary regulations are the reduction of Abalone limit from 18 to 12 per year with the loss of April and November. These emergency actions are based on criteria adopted in 2005 as part of the Abalone Recovery and Management Plan.
