In December 2019 we had a large fire that destroyed our family warehouse and truck shop, along with all of its contents. I think when you have a large fire like that, it probably makes you look a little harder at what you could do to prevent something like that in the future, or if nothing else, feel you have a means to knock it down. That is when we chose to purchase the number of MINI-CAF’s from your company. When Leland asked me for a check for $19,000 for fire extinguishers I’m not going to lie, I nearly choked on my coffee but he’s the boss right? It was not even two weeks after receiving our new fire extinguishers from your company, when on his logging job, our CAT 321D Excavator blew a hose and dumped oil onto the manifold causing a fire to ignite. It was a red flag day and we were in the middle of a PG&E PSPS event, so you can imagine the fire danger on that day. The excavator had a small fire extinguisher on board and one of the fallers was also nearby with one. They emptied both extinguishers but the fire would go out and then immediately flare back up. The crew had emptied their third and final extinguisher and flames were high when Leland drove up who had the Tri-Max Mini in his vehicle. Three squirts with the Tri-Max and the fire was completely extinguished and did not re-ignite. Not only was our machine saved but a probable wildfire was also prevented. Holt Logging, Inc. My name is Casey Holt and I operate a logging company in northeastern California. My experience with the Tri-Max 30 has been very positive. My crew and I were on a chipping job at South Eagle Lake. It was a hot, dry day and one of my operators had been running a Hot Saw 3 Wheeler. The next thing he knew a cull log had caught fire due to the friction of the machine with the logs. My quick-thinking operator ran to a nearby pick-up with the Tri-Max 30 mou...nted in it. He was able to knock-down the fire and keep it out of the trees. This provided enough time for the rest of the crew to act. They used my dozer to construct a fire line around the fire and, eventually, my water truck came in to put out the remaining fire. However, if it were not for the initial attack of the Tri-Max 30, likely the fire would have gone into the trees and gotten away from us. The Tri-Max 30 ended up being the difference between a quickly contained fire and a full-blown forest fire. I would highly recommend the Tri-Max 30 to anyone looking to purchase a fire suppression system. It could mean the difference between 100% containment and 0% containment!
