It's #TriggerPointTuesday Yoga Edition! Follow along with @beshakti as she moves through an upper body flow with the MB5. To open the upper body, start with the sum of the smaller parts - hands, forearms, and then the smaller muscles of the chest (even your armpits!). Using the MB5, you can easily integrate yoga and massage - invigorating and igniting blood flow into larger muscle groups. 1 Lying on your stomach in Sphinx Pose, roll your hands and forearms with the MB...5. 2 Place the MB5 underneath one armpit, extend your arm to the side, and press your hand into the ground. Roll the armpit, pausing on sore spots. 3 With your hands underneath your shoulders in Cobra Pose, place the MB5 underneath your chest. Inhale to lift your chest and press your sternum into the ball. Exhale to lower your chest. Rinse and repeat. 4 Keeping the MB5 underneath your chest, rest your head on your hands. Breathe deeply and relax the upper body. Inhale for a count of 4, pause, and exhale for a count of 4. As you breathe, soften the muscles of the chest. *Tip - The YIN Tradition recommends holding each posture for 3-5 minutes.
