Traylor Ranch Nature Reserve and Bird Sanctuary

HI Traylor Ranch Friends. We are cancelling the work day this Saturday, April 25. I hope everyone is doing well. I know many of you are using the park. It is open. Take care.

Hello neighbors and friends of Traylor Ranch. Normally this Saturday, March 28 is our first workday of the year. However, these are not normal times and I'm cancelling the workday. The trails are in good shape, the County sprayed them which I have never seen in all these years. But, OK, we'll deal with it. Go on out and enjoy the trails but please follow the social distancing rules. Let's not create an environment where the County thinks they need to close the park. I will be going out and checking the trails now and then but if anyone sees any issue needing attention, please message me here. Stay Safe and take care.

Today is a sad day. We just learned of Helene Traylor’s passing. She was just shy of 104! It was her and her husband Arthur’s vision and donation which has made Traylor Ranch Nature reserve possible. I know I speak for the many visitors who enjoy this small gem of a park to thank Art and Helene for their donation. During these crazy times, go on out to the park and enjoy. I am confident you can maintain the necessary social distancing and improve your spirits. Our condolences to the Traylor family. Wishing everyone a healthy day.

Hi Traylor Ranch fans. We have the last workday of the year coming this Saturday, July 27. It is going to be hot, hot!! Only two hours planned 8-10am. A very targeted support for cleaning the grinding rock area and mending some trail holes. I will be at the Humphrey Road parking area from 8-8:15am and then I will be heading to the central picnic area if you want to find me. Don't forget to bring water and a hat.

In case you haven't noticed, there are goats at Traylor Ranch. Our workday is cancelled for today. I will be evaluating the trails next week and we'll be doing mowing soon to clean up the areas left by the goats. Have a great weekend.
