Next up in our beer/wine hybrid series is De Agri Cultura Blonde Ale Co Fermented with Sauvignon Blanc Grapes (8.5% ABV). We started with a blonde ale malt base and used a kolsch ale yeast for a neutral fermentation. Sauvignon Blanc grapes were added to the process, and champagne yeast was incorporated to create a dry finish and mimic the crispness of a glass of Sauvignon Blanc. This generated a well balanced acidity that tastes like wine, but finishes like beer. De Agri... Cultura Sauv Blanc is light, tart and crisp. It's full of white grape character with hints of passion fruit/grapefruit, and has a subtle beer yeast and malt character to round it out.
