UPDATE: CA State will now allow Taxpayers with ITIN numbers to qualify for the EITC Credit for a maximum of $2,900

UPDATE: CA State will now be adding a penalty of a maximum of $750 for not having health insurance in 2020! In order to not receive the penalty we WILL need to see a 1095 form stating you had health insurance all year or certain months in the year There will be NO Health Coverage Expemptions for TaxPayers with ITIN Numbers on the CA Tax Return, if the Taxpayer did NOT have Health Coverage throughout 2020 there will be a penalty applied to their return

The IRS has begun depositing Economic Impact Payments into the accounts of taxpayers who filed a 2018 or 2019 tax return with direct deposit information included in the return. This includes taxpayers who applied for a bank product and selected the direct deposit option on their bank application. TaxSlayer Pro does not have any information regarding payments made by the IRS. Later this week, taxpayers will be able to check the status of their payment, change their address an...d change their direct deposit information by using the IRS Get My Payment application which is anticipated to be live on the IRS website by April 17th. The IRS will be sending letters to all taxpayers who receive an Economic Impact Payment providing information on how the payment was made and how to report any failure to receive the payment. These letters will be mailed to the taxpayer's last known address. Again, TaxSlayer Pro does not have any additional information regarding payments made. Alot of people have been asking us if we are going to stop seeing people for taxes. The Answer is NO! We will continue to have our doors open to the public.... For those who are afraid of going out and are quarantining themselves from the public we completely understand! We can still do your taxes from the comfort of your home, you can email us your Documentation and we can have your taxes done within the next business day. If you would like to come in we do not have a problem with that, we would love to see you. Before entering our office we have a handwashing station so you can wash your hands, we recommend leaving the kids at home. If for any reason you are NOT feeling 100%, are feeling sick or have the flu, please feel free to email your documents to us, for your safety and for the safety of others. If you are unsure of what symptoms to look for feel free to go on the Cdc.org for the most current information.
