Running for office would not have been possible without the support of my best friend and wife, Denise. If you asked this couple taking a photo at J.C. Penny's back in the day, where would they see themselves in 20 years, I doubt they would say successful business owners and a candidate for office. As challenging as becoming a City Councilmember may be, Denise already has a much tougher job as a therapist for victims of domestic violence and sexual assaults. It's people like her in our community, that work everyday to heal the traumas suffered. I am beyond grateful for the work she does and understand that more needs to be done to address these issues in our community.
