Merry Christmas from Blossom, she's had a rough year and is very happy to have made it to Christmas!

We all want to thank a very special friend that gave us tickets to Universal Studios for the entire staff. Was such a great day and each and every one deserved a fun day off!!!

Dr Skaar, Dr Nunez, and the rest of the staff of Toluca Burbank Dog & Cat Hospital would like to welcome Dr Jan Levitt to our practice. Dr Levitt will be working part time and will be a great addition! She has been practicing over 30 years and in Burbank for the last 19. Dr Levitt has a special interest and skills in surgery and dental procedures. We are extremely excited and fortunate to have her join our team.

I want to say thank you to the many clients that have rescheduled their appointments. Also to the clients that brought their pets in and were very cooperative with us practicing our new procedures dealing with social distancing. To our clients and friends: In consideration of the current COVID-19 situation, Toluca Burbank Dog & Cat Hospital will be modifying its services for the next t...wo weeks and remaining flexible as the news unfolds. This will include social distancing as well as stringent disinfection to protect staff and clients. If you have an appointment that is a wellness exam or for something non-pressing, please call to reschedule it for a few weeks from now. If you have an issue unfolding that you haven’t called in about but are suddenly going to be compelled to call it in as an emergency, please do not wait. Go ahead and call us to discuss a course of action. We will also be implementing and encouraging a curbside service for all appointments. The issues stated when the appointment was made will be addressed. Please call when you arrive so we can discuss the pet’s history and symptoms. We will then come get your pet, take it for the exam and call you regarding our recommendations. Our staff will be able to take payment over the phone or handle it while returning your pet to your car. If you need a medication/refill or are in need of food urgently, you may call and have curbside pickup but we strongly suggest you utilize our online store, Tolucaburbankpet.com to have it delivered. To be clear, this is for the health of the community as a whole. We are hoping that social distancing will help curb the spread of COVID-19. We love seeing you all and will miss the usual interaction, but until this virus is a thing of the past, we will be taking all possible precautions. We lost Kendall Sunday. She came to us because she was not a good fit as an explosives detection dog. She also was meant to be a working dog even though she ended up being the best pet. She loved dock diving and agility. She loved searching for hidden treasures in the neighborhood. She loved training as an official service dog. She loved having sleepovers at kooper’s house. Most of all she loved her kid, Danielle, and did her best to care and comfort her. We will miss you Ken!

Bob here..... Do you know I have a beautiful girlfriend, Blossom? We get to hang out after hours and on the weekends. This relationship has been going on for a few years. RIP "Georgie" 8/1/95-10/6/16. Abandoned, unadoptable, survived lymphosarcoma, hepatic disease, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, CKD, but not SCC. She was always a good girl!
