We are excited to begin our winter zoom session with our amazing families tomorrow! Stay tuned for the fun to come!
We have completed another Toddler Time session just in time for the Holiday Break. The kids have done a wonderful job adapting to our online format. They have jumped, marched, twirled and stretched playing Red Light/ Green Light. They have listened intently to clues and questions for the many games we play and have formulated amazing answers! They have listened to stories, scavenged for matching items and sang along to countless songs. And they have done their art projects with enthusiasm and creativity. It’s been an interesting switch from inperson to online for Ms Kristi and I and we feel blessed to be sharing this journey with these bright, enthusiastic students.
We are always so appreciative of the support from our dear Toddler Time Families but this year more than ever! We wish all of our families a wonderful, joyful Holiday season!
More amazing Owl Art!
Owl Week was a Hoot! Our Zoom hour flew by. Go Bananas and the Color song are still the class favorites and get high participation points. We read the book Wow! Said the Owl which reinforced our color skills and played The balloon touch around game to keep our wiggles at bay. The kids are doing awesome artwork at home with the art packets provided. This week- sponge painting the owl’s body and then gluing on all of the parts.
Our Zippity Zoo Theme was a Hit this week!our letter of the week was L and color was orange. Art this week was the cutest Lion made with help from bow tie pasta and spaghetti. Our students guessed that a Lion was hidden in our mystery box and they also made great guesses in the Cock a Doodle Doo who lives in the Zoo Riddle game. We pretended to be all kinds of animals while moving around the room- strengthening our bodies and imaginations at the same time! The kids always respond well to all of the games and songs but they truly rock our movement songs!
A new 6 week session has started and we invited some new friends to join us. Here’s the short list of activities that kept us hopping all hour: We dressed in costume, pretended to be spiders spinning a web, played Red Light Green Light, listened to 3 clues and concluded that a witch hat was hidden in our Mystery Box. We searched for anything black to represent our color of the week and solved Ms Kristi’s Halloween Riddles. Super cute Pumpkin Collage Art means it’s Halloween! Hope yours is Happy!
We completed our first 6 week session, finishing with scarecrows and candy corn art. The kids are eager to learn and participate! We are excited for the next session and plan to continue our action packed circle time starting this week
