Tile and gutter repair on a local motel. Yes, that is a bullet that was fired the night before by a guy who decided to discharge 3 rounds to break up a fight, which kept going despite his macho gun play. The next morning the manager of the motel, while it's raining, asked me to take a look at a new leak in the laundry room roof. Didn't take long for me to put two and two together.... Went down the street and talked to the guy that discharged. Told him "what goes up must come down" and unless its life-or-death matter, that I expect he should never do that ever again. He tried to cover his story by saying it was blank fired blah blah blah, I didn't argue, because I knew he knew and he knew I knew he knew. He'd also never heard of this Shotspotter system. Handyman and community policing. Also, I can see my house from here!

Redwood swing frame for a sweet family in Alameda. First time I've built something like this.

Dismantled this treehouse house structure last week in Alameda. The little house went one direction to become a chicken coop, the rest of the redwood lumber will be reclaimed to make raised beds at a community garden in Oakland. All of this lumber was milled out by the arborist who preciously lived here and saved some of his own fells.

Today I dismantled this 12' redwood picnic bench table which will become raised beds at a community garden in Oakland.
