I have recently had to relocate all my YouTube videos to another account - frustrating. Due to new policies, my previous account was locked and I was never able to get back in and retrieve my data. That being said, I have started from scratch and will continue to post videos under the "New" Trinity Mountain Arts YouTube channel. Hope this has not been too inconvenient. If you get a chance, be sure to visit our website: http://trinitymountainarts.com/

This is a short video sketching the basic mounting of a Woodchuck (ground hog). The procedure started in my shop, then moved to my 4th/5th grade classroom as a demonstration for my kids. I completed the mount in my shop and it is now on display in the classroom. Every year I encourage my kids to take up a hobby just for their own fun and enjoyment. For obvious reasons, I have excluded the footage that showed my students faces, but I think you can get a fair glimps of the pro...cess. This ground hog was sent to me from my uncle Dale in Michigan. Dale inspired me in my pursuit of hunting and taxidermy. It was his storys that drew my interest and the details of his adventures that keep me invested in what I do today. I am all about "Outdoors", and love to pass my passion for nature on to others in hopes that I might inspire them to move beyond the television and other technological distractions. God has called us all to greater things, and it starts with a close connection to our creator and His creation. Dedicated to my Uncle Dale - Happy Birthday

Wild boar mounts with the original jaws and nose. Not my preferred method of mounting wild hogs, but this was what the customer requested. Our common method of mounting wild boar would be to use an artificial jaw set and cast nose. We generally use the original tusks unless the customer prefers to have the skull bleached (European mount).

New Zealand Black Swan Mount. This clip is the process of setting up a diorama for a black swan mount. This bird was shipped to us already skinned and dried. I had to re hydrate the hide over several days. After that, we go through the cleaning and fleshing stage of skin preparation. This skin was in pretty bad shape and we had to do a lot of sewing to put it back together. Considering all this, I was happy that it turned out as well as it did.

California does not produce a lot of Walleye, but from time to time, we have a request or have one shipped to us. This video is just a quick look at the layered painting transformation of the Walleye we recently finished.

Wall Displays can be added to any shoulder game head to enhance the mount. Simple, easy to clean, and very light weight. See our website for prices.

Busy mounting game heads this time of year. My seasonal tanning shipments are coming in and the shop is bustling with activity.
