Please join us this week for a very special All Saints Sunday, with a time of remembering those who have gone before us, including Trinity members who have died in the past year. Here is the link for livestream worship at 10:30: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJ3Pn-BX_zE We invite you to have a candle or candles ready at home (and a way to light them), as you will have the opportunity to light your own candles to remember your loved ones who now rest in God's peace. We will... also "commune with the saints" in the meal of Holy Communion, so be sure to have bread and wine/juice on hand. If you are interested in attending in-person Parking Lot Worship, read all the information and sign-up here: https://www.trinityvictorville.org/sunday-morning-parking-/ Don't forget to set your clocks back an hour on Saturday night! Or you'll be all dressed up with nowhere to worship for an hour. :-)

"Be still" (Give in, let go, surrender, yield, cease striving) "and know that I am God." -Psalm 46:10a In a world where it seems that our value derives from our work and activity, stillness can be a challenging discipline. Psalm 46 is an important reminder that it does not all depend on us. We are not - and cannot - be in ultimate control. So we shouldn't try. "I will be exalted among the nations; I will be exalted in the earth," the rest of the verse reads. It is a simple and obvious principle, but one that is important to remind ourselves of often: God is God; we are not. There is a cliche common in some Christian circles that is actually an apt paraphrase of this verse: "Let go and let God."
