Farewell to a great man! For weeks I’ve heard people saying I can’t wait for things to be back to normal. I remember saying it a few times myself. But as I’ve thought about our curren...t situation I’ve realized how much I don’t want things to go back to the way they were. Here are a few of my thoughts... 1. I hope the next time a friend grabs me and pulls me in for a hug, I actually take the time to appreciate the gift of their embrace. 2. I hope that when schools resume and I’m dropping my kids off, I take the time to thank the staff for the amazing gift that they give to our family. 3. I hope that the next time I’m sitting in a crowded restaurant I take the time to look around at the smiling faces, loud voices and be thankful for the gift of community. 4. I hope that when I am at the grocery store, that I take a moment to be thankful for the necessities of life and for the amazing people who work so hard to keep us supplied. 5. I hope that I never again take for granted the ability to hop in the car and visit a friend, go to the mall, take my kids to a movie, etc. So, truth is, I don’t want things to return to the way they once were. I hope we take the lessons and challenges of the past few weeks and create a new normal. My goal is to be more thankful, love harder, and truly appreciate all the blessings each day that were so easily overlooked just a mere few weeks ago. What's up Vista and North County (and world)?????? TJ's Take week 3 Here we are going into the 3rd week of quarantine. I feel really compelled to do a Facebook ...Live because of what I see going on around me except, I am too scared and fear I will choke on my words. Nonetheless, like I said we are going into our 3rd week of the quarantine, things are mostly the same as last week except schools are closed until the end of the month and are they are starting a plan for online education, real estate agents are now essential, local gun shops are almost out of stock and I still feel like there are still a bunch of cars on the road that means people are going somewhere. I feel as though I am seeing a lot of people are starting to get angry and frustrated because things aren't going their way, they are stuck home, people are fighting about politics, people are being driven nuts by their kids, and rumors are going around to the point of who knows what the truth is about anything. Yes there are a lot of uncertainties which make things uncomfortable too! You are right, things do kind of suck RIGHT NOW!!!!!! For those of you that cannot see past that I genuinely feel bad for you because I don't want you to be scared or upset! Weather you believe everything is going to be doom and gloom or you believe everything is going to be just fine you are right! It is all about mindset and what you do with it! Don't get me wrong, I am being safe and keeping clean, I refuse to succumb to a stupid virus and let it get the best of me! Let's not forget about the important things! Do you realize we GET to stay home with our kids? We GET to stay in the comfort of our own homes and yards and freely do what we want! We GET to cook at home daily and spend time with our families! We are not rushing around like a bunch of ants walking into an anthill doing who knows what! If this isn't good enough for you drive by a cemetery and look at all their people in there, I am sure almost anyone in there will change places with you in a heartbeat to have one more day with the loved ones! What's up Vista and North County???? We are all going through some pretty crazy times right now, people are getting sick grocery stores are out of food, bars an...d restaurants are closing, and people are getting laid off from their jobs just to list a few things. This is the time we need to step it up and work together! We need to support one another more than anything right now! If we dont support one another people will lose their jobs, businesses, cars, and houses. TJ Crossman’s Auto Repair Reflections of 2019 The day after tomorrow year 2019 will only be a memory and we will be entering a new year, a new decade, a new era. We will be entering the 20’s, technology is so great, autonomous driving cars have been introduced, almost every person you see has a smart phone in their hand or face and most kids are walking around with I pod earbuds in their ears. President Trump was impeached, 2020 is going to be another election year and rig...ht about now the stores are stocking the shelves early for Valentine’s Day. If you didn’t know, the whole concept of TJ Crossman’s Auto Repair was started as mobile auto repair in 2006. I fixed up a trailer that I borrowed from a friend to haul my tools around and then I advertised daily on Craigslist. Since then we have hit many milestones of upgrading to a utility truck, sharing a shop with a friend, upgrading to a newer utility truck, getting the first shop on our own in 2012 and finally moving into a 3300 square foot shop in 2016 where we are currently. Thanks to our loyal clients, in 2019 we continued to grow - 26% over the previous year! TJ Crossman’s Auto Repair expanded again, we acquired another 3200 square foot suite across the driveway, adding 4 more lifts and 2 more technicians giving us a total of 7 lifts and about 6500 square feet of work space. Although it has been a tough journey to find quality employees that are willing to produce the level of craftsmanship that our clients deserve, I can confidently say that we have some of the best technicians in the industry. In 2020 we will be remodeling our front office and sitting room to better accommodate our customers and streamline our processes to cut down on wait times. We will be hiring a front counter assistant / parts manager to assist Bob and ultimately give customers the best experience possible. Our last goal for the year is to build a small fleet of vehicles that we can offer as loaners free of charge so clients would never be without a reliable vehicle.
