They've reached out to us when one of their researchers saw our postings about the boxed lunches we have distributed to our Frontliners and First Responders last Thanksgiving. Every year, during Thanksgiving week, we at Titas of Manila distributes boxed meals to our First Responders as our way of showing our appreciation for them. But since the pandemic... hit us back in March, we have been giving away meals to some of our Frontliners as well. At Titas of Manila, we do not only cook delish Filipino meals. THANKSGIVING MEALS ROUND TWO-- MEDICAL FRONTLINERS QUEEN OF THE VALLEY HOSPITAL & VICTORIA CARE CENTER We have distributed 80 boxed lunches today to the medical staff of Queen of the Valley Hospital and Victoria Care Center. We kicked off our Thanksgiving Week yesterday by delivering 120 packed meals to our First Responders and to some families thru the Pilipino Workers Center in LA. We went and distributed Filipino hearty lunch to the Firemen on duty at the 5 Fire Stations in West Covina. We thank Assistant Fire Chief Mike Browne for allowing us to deliver them the packed meals. The boxed lunches consisted of steamed rice, mix chicken and pork adobo, pancit bihon, egg rolls, chocolate chip cook...ies and cantaloupe juice. Those boxed lunches were accompanied by thank you cards from some kids showing their appreciation for our Firemen. Later today, we will be delivering more boxed lunches to our Frontline workers at a couple of hospitals in West Covina. Providing meals is our annual tradition. The meals were made possible by the financial support of the friends of Titas of Manila. There is always something to be grateful for! We might be in the midst of these trying times but it doesn't stop us from giving little of what we may have left. This is the essence of giving--- giving, even when you don't have much. We are grateful to all the friends, supporters, suppliers, and customers of Titas of Manila--- you are the reasons we work hard to keep our doors open. We have implemented body temperature scanning with the contactless temperature scanner we have installed. This is added protection for our staff and for our customers. Please be prepared to have your temperature scanned when you visit Titas of Manila. If the scanner registers 100.3 or higherapologies in advance but you will not be allowed to enter the restaurant. ... We strictly adhere to the guidelines and we follow the safety protocols set by the CDC and local health department. It’s a lot of additional work but we got to do what we gotta do.
