From the @charliezanneband playing some beautiful music, the vendors bringing more goods than we could have imagined and every single one of you showing up to support - THANK YOU! Hey there, Shakira Willis here! Tin Cup Manager. It’s been a little bit since we have introduced our team. Since I’ll be meeting so many new people during these next few weeks as we prepare for the Coffee & Creatives pop up this month, I figured I’d introduce myself! Born and raised in Bakersfield myself, I was one of those who literally never came to Shafter for anything other then the DMV. (It really is the best one!) My ever growing love for C O F F E E is what brough...t me over here and starting Tin Cup with the Starrh family is what has kept me out here. When I’m not at Tin Cup I’m probably day dreaming about being at Tin Cup. No joke. Blessing and a curse one might say. But really, I love it here and all the people in the community! I’ve built some amazing friendships from those who have walked into these doors. As someone who fell in love with locally roasted @covenantcoffee about 5 years ago and helped start this locally owned coffee / cafe shop - I have SUCH a love, passion and appreciation for anything and everything locally owned and operated. To just truly watch a vision of yours or someone’s come to life and see it GROW is so rewarding (even for the people not involved), incredibly fun and absolutely beautiful! This is why I’m so excited to host this Coffee and Creative event November 21st. Slightly nervous - mostly excited! The line up of makers + creatives + designers + LOCAL shops is so dang good. I hope you all can make it.

Meet the team Monday! This is Allison. She is celebrating one year as a cook with us this month. Her must have drink is an iced hazelnut latte and her go to food item is our Pesto Caprese Panini. (A great option for all the vegetarians) Allison is a twin. ... When shes not working she’s most likely spending time with her nieces and nephews, who she adores so much! One of her favorite hobbies is practicing different makeup techniques. If she could go anywhere it would be Bora Bora or Dubai. I’ve asked everyone what their favorite thing about working at Tin Cup is and I kid you not they’ve all said each other! We have such a solid group of people who get to share a great relationship inside of work and out. We love that!

Meet the team Monday! This is Areanna but she goes by Annie. (Ahh-knee not An-E) One reason introducing our team was so important to us is because there’s people in the back of the house you may sometimes never see and truthfully, they put in a lot of the hard work. She is one of them! Annie spends most of her time at Tin Cup as one of our lead cooks and she is another great example of a team leader! For the past year and three months she has been someone we can always coun...t on. If someone could please cancel her school schedule so she could be here 24/7 that would be great. (jk, we completely support her education and love her dreams) Next time you come in try our Avocado Toast the Annie way + bacon & chipotle sauce. (You won’t regret it, she’s got me hooked) Her favorite drink at Tin Cup is the Power smoothie. If she could go anywhere in the world it would be Italy. She loves loves loves her dogs & when she’s not working she’s probably walking them or going thrifting. Shes currently majoring in animal science and will be continuing her education in agriculture. Her dreams are moving out of state and owning a small farm.
