If you rub your kitchen and bath fixtures with the waxy side of wax paper, it will help keep water spots from forming, thus keeping your fixtures looking clean and shiny for longer. Second photo is 2 days later, whereas I’m usually having to wipe down my fixtures multiple times a day.

Not into scrapbooking, but still want to save and organize memorabilia from trips or special events? Make a scrapbox! I love to travel and I enjoy collecting little physical items to remind me of the trip, in addition to my digital photos which I sometimes have printed into a photo book via an online vendor. When returning from a trip, it’s easy to toss everything into these photo boxes, label, and store in a bookshelf or cabinet.

Need more space in your office, den, kid’s room, or kitchen? Take advantage of the insides of your cabinet doors! Self-adhesive pockets (these are by Smead, but Post-its also makes some which are removable though not as strong) can help you organize mail supplies (like I did here), kids’ school papers, stickers, frequently used forms, business cards, or anything other paper item that frequently gets put in a stack and then lost. Combine these with a magnetic white board and you’ve got a great command center where important family information can be kept and shared.

Make your scrubbing sponges last twice as long! Cut them in half before using and they’ll still be big enough to scrub out your dirtiest pans. I’ve been doing this for years and love how the half-size sponge fits in my hand.
