The Military Outreach Ministry Needs Your Help Heartfelt thanks for all the donations that have been received to date. Your support is deeply appreciated. With less than one week remaining in our donation period, we have only reached half our goal at 51 families. If you have not yet sent in a donation and wish to do so, please send donations no later than Sunday, October 25. This will allow us just enough lead time to place a bulk order with the commissary. When Bill Berg pa...ssed away this summer, the Military Outreach Committee lost one of its most dedicated volunteers. We are indebted to Bill, not only for his military service, but for his continuous support of MOC’s Children’s Clothing Drives, Christmas Craft Fairs, and Military Food Drives since MOC began its outreach in 2014. Bill was a willing volunteer and partner with us in serving military families with a loving heart, hands, and always the biggest smile. We wish to honor Bill and his service by dedicating our 2020 Thanksgiving Food Drive to him as follows: Military Appreciation Thanksgiving Food Drive in Remembrance of Bill Berg (1929-2020) To sponsor a local military family, please donate $40 to TLC in one of the following ways: By check payable to TLC noting MOC Food Drive on the memo line, Via VENMO designating MOC Food Drive, or Adding to your regular offering and designating MOC Food Drive and the amount on the Other line on your TLC Giving Envelope. Today we dedicated 89 Lutheran World Relief Quilts before they are shipped to the warehouse in Minneapolis. Although we could not spread them out on the pews as usual, they still looked very colorful at our Drive-In Worship Service. Thanks you to all our quilters, especially those who worked so diligently from home during this pandemic. God’s work. Our hands. Thank you for this post, Ginny Pence!
