Chai tea is a sweet and spicy tea, well known for its fragrant aroma. It's made of black tea, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, fennel, black pepper and cloves. It can be brewed with hot water or hot milk and a pick of sugar makes it even more delicious! Sangre de Toro (Bull's Blood), is the name of our signature espresso blend. We took inspiration from the term used on the coffee farms when they are training their coffee pickers. Pickers are trained to pick only the cherries that have a very deep red color like "Sangre de Toro" Only then, they are very ripped and with the highest concentration of sugars. Also, the bull is an animal you don't mess up with. He is strong, with presence and a big personality... just like our es...presso blend!! . . . . . #espresso #espressoblend #thebestespresso #bull #sangredetoro #bigpersonality #coffeelover #espressolover #bayareafoodies #coffeegram #butfirstcoffee #coffeetime #orderonline #foodiesofinstagram #coffee #coffeefacts See more

Using a stainless steel tea infuser allows you to enjoy loose leaf teas, like the ones available in our store, which have much more flavor. Just adding a teaspoon of your favorite tea in the strainer, steeping the desired time and done! it's tea time! It also has many other benefits: It's reusable. You help the environment with less pollution and the tea leaves are compostable It's easy to clean. Just rinse after every use.... It provides excellent filtration. It has very tiny holes that allow to extract the tea flavor without leaving particles in your cup. It has a very cute design. This makes it perfect for holiday gifts or just treating yourself, because you deserve it! Do you have a reusable tea infuser? Time to step up your tea game . . . . #tea #teatime #tealover #reuse #reusable #sustainable #giftguide #holidaygifts #teaparty #teainfuser #looseleaftea #freshlybrewed #bayarea #bayareafoodies

If one word defines Rosalba Cifuentes, is tenacity. She is the founder of @mayanharvestcoffee working with many indigenous Mayan women, who grow the delicious coffee we have the honor to roast: Bella Vista Mayan Women. . . Women have been crucial in the coffee industry for centuries, yet their work hasn’t been recognized until recently. And still they don’t get as much attention as they deserve. .... . For Rosalba and myself, the path to where we are in the coffee industry hasn’t been always easy. As immigrants and Latinas, our efforts have been sometimes diminished or looked over. There is still a lot of work to do, but we are committed to make a difference and to honor the places we come from and our heritage. Mayan Harvest and Tico Coffee Roasters names are not random. They carry love, sacrifices and knowledge from our ancestors. . . I hope my work helps bring awareness and challenges the stereotypes of Latinas and immigrants in this country, as well as within the coffee industry. . . #womenincoffee #Latinasincoffee #Latinasinbusiness #Latinasunidas #stronwomenofcoffee #specialtycoffeeassociation #iwca #mexico #costarica #ticos #cafedeespecialidad #mujeresencafe #shesepuede See more

We thought we share with you a little bit of our story and the meaning our our name, Tico. This is an idiomatic term used to name people from Costa Rica. Mariana, our founder is a tica and she wanted to use a name that reflects her roots, but more than that, the lifestyle and well being that surround her country. Everyone who visits Costa Rica can most likely experience that good feeling and Pura Vida (pure life) that is all around us! Tico comes from the way Costa Ricans ...use adjectives to describe something small, the tendency to add the diminutive tico to the end of words. For example, in standard Spanish ‘chiquito’ means 'small’, the diminutive is chiquitito (a little small), but Costa Ricans often say un 'chiquitico. Have you been in Costa Rica? Can you share a "poquitico" of your experience there?! . . . . . #costarica #tico #tica #ticos #ticoroasters #ticocoffeeroasters #puravida #wellbeing #happiness #friends #CostaRicancoffee #orderonline
