If you missed your chance to drop off with us, please consider dropping off your new and unwrapped toys with Southern Marin Fire at the following locations. They will be accepting donations M-F, 8am-5pm, until 12/18/2020. UPDATE WEEK OF 12/14: our headquarters station at 1679 Tiburon Blvd. front door and mailbox will be closed and inaccessible 12/15 thru 12/17 due to fumigation tenting. Please mail your application to 1679 Tiburon Blvd., Tiburon, CA 94920 or email to [email protected]. You may also drop your application off in a sealed envelope at the Tiburon Lodge located next door at 1651 Tiburon Blvd. They will have a drop box located at the front desk. Please make best attempts to mail or email prior to dropping off. Thank you. GENERAL PUBLIC: while our headquarters station may be closed, emergency service/response remains as normal. Please note that the drop box at Tiburon Lodge is for application packets ONLY. Toys for Tots donations are no longer being accepted after 12/14.

Approximately 800 Tiburon customers expected to be impacted by rolling blackouts this evening. Tiburon customers (no Belvedere residents expected to be impacted at this time) may experience outages from 5pm to 8pm unknown which 800 customers at this point. 8/17/20 PM - Smell of smoke in the area. The odor of smoke on the peninsula is most likely due to drift smoke from a fire in Point Reyes. If you can actively see fire/smoke in your area, please call 9-1-1.

FIRST CHIPPER/VEGETATION REMOVAL EVENT TOMORROW: Please join us tomorrow at Blackie's Pasture for the first vegetation removal event of the season. 9AM-4PM at Blackie's' Pasture. SPECIAL ENTRY INFORMATION- PLEASE REVIEW: Due to COVID precautions and the standing Shelter in Place Order, Blackie's' Pasture is only open to Drop-offs for this event. NO PUBLIC PARKING IS PERMITTED. Please do not come to Blackie's unless you are dropping off vegetation for removal. NO LEFT TURN...S INTO BLACKIE'S PASTURE. The current closure of left turns into Blackie's Pasture will remain in effect. All drop-offs shall enter Blackie's Pasture through the right turn lane shoulder and staff will posted to guide you in. Staging of cars will occur inside the dirt lot. MAP IS PROVIDED in this message. Drop-offs will have a designated slot indicated by a white strip in the gravel. Unloading by you is expected. Assistance is available, but will keep to Social Distancing and COVID precautions. WEAR MASKS AT ALL TIMES. PLEASE USE GLOVES. ALL VEGETATION IS WELCOMED TOMORROW, BUT NO PLASTIC BAGS OR TARPS. Unlimited loads and your address is required to be provided for permission to unload. If you are using someone other than yourself to drop-off, please write a note of your address, sign it and give to your representative. Thank you for doing the hard work, let us haul it all away!!! Tiburon Fire Protection District 07.09.2020

The Tiburon Fire Protection District, Tiburon Volunteer Fire Department, Town of Tiburon Public Works Department, and City of Belvedere Public Works are co-sponsoring the first Chipper Event of 2020 on May 9th from 9AM until 4PM at Blackie’s Pasture. This will be compliant to COVID-19 Social Distancing for drop-off in the front dirt lot. All Tiburon and Belvedere residents can drive their vegetation cuttings and slash to Blackie’s Pasture to be piled for chipper removal cou...rtesy of City of Belvedere & Town of Tiburon Public Works staff & equipment. Vehicles are to dump the cuttings in the assigned area with direction from Tiburon Volunteer Fire Department members and only need to indicate the address from where the cut vegetation was removed. This information is used to track compliance efforts and target tonnage removal. In an effort to meet the Marin County Community Wildfire Preparedness Plan’s goal to remove overgrowth and create Defensible Space for residents of the Peninsula, this event serves to continue to make our area better protected against wildfire. The season for vegetation management begnis May 1st and runs through fire season. Rest assured the First Responders and Healthcare professionals are taking all the necessary precautions to protect patients, as well as themselves, from contracting the virus. Timely access to emergency care is your best defense against having a negative outcome from your injury or illness. Recognize dangerous signs and symptoms earl...y and take action by calling 9-1-1. Common warning signs for Heart Attack and Stroke include: Pain or discomfort in the chest Lightheadedness, nausea or vomiting Jaw, neck or back pain Discomfort or pain in the arm and shoulder Shortness of breath Balance Eyes blurred or double vision Facial droop Arm weakness Speech difficulty If you’re experiencing any of these symptoms, or others, it’s time to call 9-1-1. The Emergency Communications Dispatcher will gather information related to your illness or injury in order to dispatch the appropriate resources. First Responders will promptly assess your situation and begin care and transportation to the most appropriate health care facility.
