Thirsty Cow Korean BBQ

It is with a heavy heart to tell you that our beloved thirsty cow Daisy has passed away last Wednesday. Thank you so much for all the support and love you have given us over the last five years. You made us the #1 kbbq restaurant in our city of Rowland Heights. Thank you, the brave men in uniform who worked tirelessly into the early morning and courageously saved the neighboring businesses.... Kay, our manager, cried her eyes out when a customer handed her money at the scene of the fire, telling her that she liked our restaurant and that she wanted to help. That small token of appreciation and kind gesture won’t be forgotten. When we opened our doors back after the Safe at Home was lifted you showered us with your love and support. There was this one particular couple who came like twice a week once we open. It turned out that they found a good sitter who could take care of the little one with a mild case of autism. They enjoyed the little time together, just the two of them. Kay often let them skip in front of the line. Every quarter or so, we’d close our restaurant one hour earlier and have a staff appreciation party where we eat some good kbbq and get totally slammed until the wee hours morning. We had a fine tradition of drawing with a permanent marker stuffs on the faces of the person who passes out. There is alway at least one. Happened to me last year and the guys played tic tac toe on my arm, I think. Good times. One of the managers of the restaurant, Jacky Chen, came up with the name Thirsty Cow. We had a two-week long contest with a $1,000 cash prize for the employee who comes up with the most awesome restaurant name. I still remember the moment when Kay counted new, crisp 10, $100 bills and handed over to Jacky after announcing the winner. That won’t be forgotten either. I have such fond memories of Thirsty Cow. But I am genuinely concerned about my staffs. A lot of people and their families had depended their livelihood on this place. There are many who had stayed with us since the very beginning. That’s special in an industry with high turnover. I am overwhelmed with a heavy heart and concern. Frankly, I am a little lost and don’t really know what to do yet, but I want to take this opportunity to tell our loyal fans the biggest thanks from the bottom of my heart. A special thanks to a handful of folks who regularly liked us on FB. Thank you so much. I won’t forget your love. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. Josh
