The Yoga Stage 30.09.2020

Repost from @matthew_ledesma_ using @_repostplus When traveling for 4 months, living on the road becomes the normal. I’m just now starting to find balance and grounding myself. New yoga classes in the San Dimas/Glendora area coming soon!

Repost from @antaltomonte using @_repostplus It’s that time of year, when the weeks are flying by and it’s getting tougher to stay afloat. But here’s to trying! . Not pictured: me faceplanting 2 seconds later

The Yoga Stage 30.08.2020

Teacher Spot Light @antaltomonte I walked into my first yoga class thinking it would be a cinch. That impression quickly went down the drain, and I got a big slap of humble across the face--my 10 years as an athlete notwithstanding. 6 years and a teacher training later, my practice continues to teach me humility, and so much more. It has helped me find the quiet in an otherwise very noisy world, and has helped me find peace across oceans (quite literally, having moved here fr...om the Philippines a little over 4 years ago). . As a teacher, my foremost intention is to create a safe space--a shared space of expression (without judgment), release (of emotions, of stress, of hamstrings), opening (of minds, of hearts, of tight hips), challenge (but not competition), and community. And maybe we'll break a sweat along the way.Looking forward to sharing space with you!

Teacher Spot Light: @matthew_ledesma_ With over 20 years of sports competition, Matthew is no stranger to the capabilities of the human body and mind. 11 years of experience as a personal trainer and 6 years as a coach to amateur and professional athletes, he is no stranger to helping people maximize their abilities. Yoga first came into the picture in April, 2013 when, seeking solitude and a change in lifestyle, Matt decided to try the practice. Completely self-taught throu...gh videos and extensive reading, he honed a self-practice for 2 years. Through this practice he found healing, better focus and increased athletic performance. On top of that the practice has also brought a sense of community, calm, and patience. Having taken his first 200hr YTT in April, 2016 and a second one in March, 2018, Matt now weaves his athletic experience and yoga practice together with classes that challenges the body but encourages a calm and steady flow of the mind. He continues to do work in personal training, has been a high school wrestling coach for 4 years, and has been teaching yoga for over 4 years, hoping to influence athletes, share the yoga practice, and give back what has been given to him. Fun fact! When Matt’s not teaching yoga and coaching athletes, he is building custom travel vans or traveling the country with his partner, living the vanlife.
