The Cohen-Bray house is a non-profit Victorian house museum in Oakland. Still owned by the same family. Many original furnishings (like the carpets!). You can buy these cards to help keep this great house museum going.

UPDATE: we now have the link to recording, so comment below if you’d like the link. I’m not putting the link itself on social media for privacy reasons. Hello members, Many of us logged into the online service for Joe Pecora today only find there was no sound. Several people notified the mortuary and learned they were recording the service rather than streaming it live. Subsequent attempts to watch the service later today did not work either. The mortuary has said it will post the recorded service within 24 hours. If you would like to be notified of that or to attempt to watch with other members, please leave your name in the comments. Please use this post. I cannot figure the page in box messaging. This was sad, frustrating, and oh so 2020, but we will come together to honor Joe one way or another. Thank you - Megan Smith

Petaluma neighbors are unhappy about plans by Levi Strauss heir Peter Haas for a remodel/gutting of an historic Brainerd Jones home on Sixth Street that would include a huge underground addition. A peek at the blueprints filed with the city shows the ambitious changes Haas has in mind for the elegant gray two-story Victorian designed more than a century ago by legendary Petaluma architect Brainerd Jones. Gone will be four of the home’s six bedrooms. Scheduled for demolition are fireplaces, balustrades, roofs, staircases, a chimney and a dormer roof window. https://www.sfchronicle.com//Big-plans-for-historic-Petalu Preserve Petaluma is asking concerned citizens to write Petaluma’s City council.
