Two boyhood friends grow up together and become best friends. One becomes an award winning Christian recording artist, while the other goes onto pioneer one of the earliest Christian sketch comedy troupes (Isaac Air Freight), and later supervised some of the most iconic shows in American TV history. For a time they would co-host a popular morning radio show in Southern California called Mornings with Dan & Bob on KBRT. All these years later they are still best friends. Robert is no stranger to The Upper Room and is excited to be back to talk about his new book 'What's The Big Idea?' This book is a smart aleck’s commentary on the intersection between faith and science and the author’s own personal journey... of belief. What’s the Big Idea? uses both humor and heart to lay out overwhelming evidence for the existence of an Intelligent Designer (the how). It then introduces the reader to the One who claims responsibility for this creation and explains who He is and what He has done (the why). When C.S. Lewis wrote Mere Christianity, he was speaking to the general populace about the logic behind his faith. He systematically laid out allegories that helped explain a sometimes seemingly impenetrable faith. This book has the very same goal, though it is aimed at a short attention span generation that is fluent in both cynicism and sarcasm. Robert G. Lee has been a working stand-up comedian for over thirty years, performing both in churches and warming up audiences for some of Hollywood’s top sitcoms. He’s written punchlines for vegetables in Veggie Tales and was the drama director at his church for over a decade until a new pastor came in and dissolved the drama department on Ash Wednesday, giving Robert up for lent. Robert has released eight comedy specials, co-wrote a video with Chonda Pierce and wrote and directed a low budget faith-based comedy called Can I Get A Witness Protection?
