The gallbladder is a small sac-like organ located below the liver. Its primary function is to store and concentrate bile, an important digestive fluid made by the liver. When fat enters the upper portion of the small intestine (duodenum), bile flows from the liver through bile ducts to the duodenum. When the small intestine is empty, bile flows back into the gallbladder for storage. Bile consists of water, cholesterol, fats, bile salts (also called bile acids), and a yellow pigment product known as bilirubin. If you are in pain please contact our office as soon as possible for a consultation at 310-861-7494

After a colonoscopy, most people are back to work and "normal life" within 24 hours, or after the sedation wears off. It is recommended to refrain from flying for 48 hours after the procedure. Schedule your colonoscopy today if you are feeling any discomfort it doesn't take long and has very minable pain. #colonoscopy #coloncancer #colorectalcancer #gastroenterology #cancer #endoscopy #coloncancerawareness #rectalcancer #colorectalcancerawareness #colon #gastro #ibd #gastroenterologist #bowelcancer #rectalbleeding #chemotherapy #fuckcancer #ostomy #ulcerativecolitis #hemorrhoids #drzurimurrell #colonhealth #constipation #cancersucks #crohns #getscreened #beverlyhills #losangeles #health

A new study posits that coffee might help colon cancer patients live longer. Often seen as a necessary but guilty pleasure, a new study of 1,171 colorectal cancer patients found that patients who reported drinking 2-3 cups of coffee a day lived longer and had a decreased risk of cancer progression. What is even more surprising is that this effect scaled. Patients who drank 4 cups of coffee, saw even more profound health effects. ... According to the National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK), more than 1 in 20 people in the US have hemorrhoids. That number jumps to 1 in 2 once you’re past 50.
