We said goodbye to our sweet baby boy Dexter on Wed. I couldn’t post about it yesterday - I am beside myself heartbroken Dexter and I had a special bond from day one when he came into my life 3 days after I lost Freckles in 2009. Dexter was feisty, super friendly and LOVED people! He always wanted to join the party and made friends with everyone who walked in the door. He was my companion over the last 11 years and especially during this trying year - he would let me know... when it was time to stop working by literally laying on my keyboard. Many of you saw him join my virtual workouts - he was known and loved by all! Dex used to love to jump into the fridge when he was little - we would always say that was because he was from upstate New York and preferred cold weather He also became the poster boy for one if my most loved Christmas cards when he posed in the tree for me I miss him terribly and the house feels empty without him. Dex had cancer and wasn’t himself for the past few months. But even so, when Michael and Kate came over he would always come out and join the party. I’m grieving the loss of this beautiful little soul who brought me so much joy over the 11 years and 3 months that he was in my life. Dexter left while in my arms and being showered in love and kisses from me, Michael and Kate. I want to especially thank Kate for her beautiful memorial prayers for Dexter. I know Dexter is still around us and will miss him forever. I cherish my time I had with him - all the cuddles and purrs, the conversations we would have, even the annoying things he would do. Love you Dex Rest In Peace See more
