The Skinny Garden

Hi Everyone! I was on a zoom call today with Councilman Eric Guerra, Fire Marshall Jason Lee, and several other neighborhood leaders and concerned citizens abo...ut the constant ongoing problem of fireworks in Sacramento. I’ll be putting an entire summary of the call together. In the meantime, we have been asked to REPORT all illegal fireworks use to the email address below that they INSIST is being constantly monitored. Illegal fireworks include ALL that are being used right now until June 28, which is when legal fireworks are permitted thru July 4th. We were also informed that SacPD has a fireworks abatement program that includes a total of 8 officers assigned. If caught, the current fine for use Is a misdemeanor with fines of $1000-$1500. The fine for storage of fireworks can be up to $25,000. Please be proactive right now and report those you know where they’re coming from to: [email protected] Sign and keep sharing the petition to ban fireworks! If you don’t want to sign it that’s ok, there’s no need to debate. Thank you!

Today is about hollyhocks.

Sadly 11 pinwheels were stolen from the Skinny Garden last night. Beware: a thief is a thief and at least one is very active in our neighborhood.

We call her Big Girl. Now 7 + foot tall ...and growing. Stunning flowers with a touch of blush.
