< after Moving is hard. In fact it’s generally among the top 5 most stressful life events you’ll experience. You can’t completely avoid the pain and stress of moving, even if you hire the best movers. It’s a change...change is hard. It’s a mess...mess is hard. It’s expensive...expenses are hard. But we love helping ease some of the burden. Starting with the most loved space in your home = the kitchen! We helped this sweet, busy family unpack and organize their new gorgeous kitchen this week. Love giving them one totally organized space to enjoy this weekend. And ... As long as you can find the coffee and the wine...it will be just fine!
< the real after This is the year I promised to push myself and not only step outside my usual comfort zone. Instead I wanted a full running start into a hurdle over that line. So designing this closet for AN INTERIOR DESIGNER ... no pressure at all. Had the great honor and best time helping her make the most of this modest sized walk-in closet. When the closet wrapped in March, she didn’t have a bathroom door or wall hooks ... they weren’t even sleeping in their bedroo...m because the bed had yet to arrive. But now it’s complete...and when the professional photographer comes in ... you know that’s an official wrap! This photo truly means so much to me. A symbol of all that’s already happened in 2021. Fine < Hella Fine In this garage, I installed a metal panel wall system to organize tools and small items that were otherwise wasting space / rolling around in drawers or floating around the house. Now there’s one location to search for tools. Easy to find. Easy to put away. This was the perfect spot below the garage gym tv to add more function / order / space. While keeping it hella beautiful! Every layer of function matters - no matter how small an impact you think will occur. Every effort impacts the day to day in a positive way! @ Alamo, California
< after Because I’m obsessed with accounting for all your stuff, measuring the holy heck out of your spaces and finding the perfect containers for a beautiful fit! This gift wrap section in her laundry room was simply organized using clear acrylic drawer organizers. They come in all sorts of sizes and can be configured to fit your spaces...no matter how big or small. Find them linked here!
< Sunday Fridge Who’s doing a fridge clean out today? Admittedly, my fridge does NOT look this clean and organized right now. But it will later today / tomorrow. I’ve been suffering from a lack of inspiration the last month or so. Not only with work but with food, workouts, my creativity and edge is off. (Anyone else?) When I experience this phase, the only way to snap out of it = push myself physically. And a physical push inevitable affects my mental game. So this gir...l is back in hard core meal prep / workout mode. Be prepared and get excited for some serious meal prep / food organizing posts. Here and on the blog! In order to not totally ruin / impact the food life of those living with me, I’ll be taking over the garage fridge to keep most of my situation organized. Hired a trainer too! Look forward to sharing more food and workout updates...
< Sunday fridge First one of 2021. Major clean out today. Ready for the week ahead...and a grocery run too I guess. Who else did a fridge clean out or meal prep today? . #sosundayfridge
< after My favorite way to reorganize a space = changing the bones. More often than not, it’s just the overall structure that needs edits or tweaks. In this pantry I achieved more useable space by adding just 1 new shelf, repurposing their existing containment and space planning. . So when you tackle your next project, keep in mind its not always bins and products to nail your goal. Could just be a shelf or two! . Before < After On your weekend to-do list : getting just 1 drawer organized. Nothing more. Nothing less. No pressure. Thoughtful. This year is all about pacing it and doing it right from the start. . Excited to share you can now shop directly from my images. Just tap the photo to find the products. Yay! @ Alamo, California
Before < After This playroom closet has been on my mind since I first met with this adorable family in October...and it turned out even better than I envisioned! . This busy hard-working couple and I brainstormed many products ideas that would help keep their 4 year old’s play space organized and easy for him to put things away...but still look beautiful. This space is in the same room as the kitchen and family room, therefore = we wanted pretty, functional, items that can ...transition to other rooms when he’s older...and I think we nailed it! . These are a mix - shelf bins are from Neat Method and floor totes from Amazon...for ALL the fun costumes! . Find the products linked in my profile! @ Alamo, California See more
< after First pantry of 2021...and already a highlight of the year! . Her husband reached out to surprise her (awe! ) with an organized pantry and while consulting with him I immediately visualized the after. This pantry already had 2 walls of Elfa shelving but I easily saw new opportunities for space. More space was achieved by adding 2 shelves, lowering the drawers, space planning the contents and adding a few very simple products to create zones / boundaries. . Products linked in my profile...and soon to be IG shop page! (We’re working on it! ) @ Alamo, California
< after How’s that garage looking? Or are you hitting it this weekend? I’m tackling mine this weekend and can’t wait to share! Here to remind you that a garage is a big space / project. Starting small is always a good jumping off point when getting organized in a new year. Pace yourself in that garage! . Having a solid system - one with zones - is important. In this garage I made the most use of their wall space above the tall foundation wall. We were able to store bins and also made room for the bikes and other hanging items underneath. This is an Elfa system and is currently on sale!
