We’ve received many phone calls and msgs concerning reopening. Let me just say we miss you too! As it stands with the social distancing guidelines right now. It isn’t profitable for us or our employees to open under these circumstances. We are surrounded by residential properties and would have to over staff to monitor and open the parking lot. Trust me, there’s nothing we’d love more than to have you come together and enjoy a beverage with us. Till then pls stay safe and continue to love one another. #thesilverpeso

So in order to apply for the COVID19 SBA PPP Loan. I have to ask my employees to come off of unemployment, which includes a $600 a week stimulus bump and go to minimum wage without any tips. This doesn’t work for me! I can’t take money from my employees to get a loan that will pay them less. So I can pay my Rent. There will be no way to open with the 6’ foot distance recommendations for restaurants. When they start to allow non essential businesses to open. The Silver Peso is a social gathering spot. Where our business is based on ppl coming together. I think the tavern/bar and nightclub business is being greatly ignored by the people creating solutions and I just heard on meet the press. Social distancing will be in place throughout the summer.

Due tie a mandatory Marin county public health shelter in place and closure order. We are closing tonight at midnight 3/16/20 until 4/7/20 or later. Pls stay safe and healthy!
