Thesaurus Linguae Graecae 20.01.2021

Fifty four works from 28 authors have been added to the TLG. Additions include the Dynameron by Nicolaus Myrepsos, Rhazes’ , a long anonymous mathematical treatise and a number of hagiographical works (http://stephanus.tlg.uci.edu/tlgauthors/post_tlg_e.php). Lemma search has been expanded to include grammatical analysis when results are listed by grammar. Total word-counts by century have been added to Statistics. We are pleased to release our searchable version of S. Koumanoudes’ , first published in Athens in 1900 a year after Koumanoudes' death, with 60,000 lemmata extracted mostly from journals and contemporary documents. The project is part of the TLG corpus expansion into the post-byzantine and modern period.

Corpus update just completed. Added 58 new texts from 32 authors. Additions include works by Zigabenus, Acropolites, Nicodemos Hagiorita, Patriarch Callinicos III, Ananias Antiparios and a number of Byzantine lives of saints. The final fascicle of LBG is also included in this update. The full LBG can now be consulted online. We are glad to be able to continue our work during these difficult times. Stay healthy!

In view of the COVID-19 crisis our team is now working from home. Team members have devised an emergency kit with state of the art digitization tools so that they can continue their work from home. We know how important it is to maintain access to the TLG, especially during these times. We are working on our regular corpus update (announcement coming soon) and adding new features to the search engine. Keep safe and stay healthy!
