Needed a new one for the office, and just in time for late September, October, and November. #teamwork
Let’s call 2020 "The Year of the Curveball." The political landscape is changing monthly. When you did your baseline polling, that environment was significantly different than what we see today. Now, with wildfires burning across California, an evolving pandemic, and regional and local unrest, previously-tested public opinion research may have completely changed. Ballots mail in just 25 days and the only way to know where you stand is to take a measurement today. Find out if ...your strategy is still relevant or needs a complete overhaul. Within 2-3 days, we can field a survey and complete our analysis using Porpoise, our unique, proprietary analytical tool that tracks movement, and give you that strategic competitive advantage to drive it home this November. Time slots will fill up quickly, so call us to get your next tracking poll scheduled. - Tim Rosales [email protected]

Opinion Research during a national crisis From Val Smith Ph.D: When considering the impact of the crisis related to the corona virus on our ability to conduct opinion research, we think of two things: methodology and measurement.... METHODOLOGY Good time to do research MEASUREMENT May or may not be a good time Let’s discussion the situation... From a methodological standpoint, it might be an ideal time for an opinion research survey. With many people under shelter in place restrictions the response rates on surveys could be higher regardless of sampling method: online, phone, or hybrid (phone/online). Over the past 20 years, diminished response rate has been arguably the foremost problem facing opinion researchers. This may be an opportunity to temporarily reverse that problem. In terms of measurement, the answer to that question depends on the research objectives and practical considerations. If your research is a one-time study, intended to have durable application, we suggest holding off. If you anticipate additional tracking of parameters, the current context will afford valuable baseline data. This is a good time to establish baseline measurements of public opinion on topics that could be influenced by the COVID-19 crisis. Follow-up surveys over the coming months can form a trend line of key data points to see if the effects are transient or lasting. Another benefit of beginning sampling design and questionnaire drafting now is that you can take advantage of the time to craft the right instrument. Often, surveys get rushed into the field with inadequate time to prepare for effective data collection. If you only have a budget to take one shot at research, then you probably should hold off entering the field. Ultimately, we are always happy to have a conversation and walk through your situation.
