Here’s a great hip stretch #exerciseoftheday with the assist of the wall. This targets the glutes and hip joint capsule. I’m sure you’ve seen the end pose held with your hands or a belt, however this way puts less stress in your upper body and neck while accomplishing the same effect. Give it a shot! Lmk what you think! 1 On your back, get as close to the wall as you feel comfortable. The closer you are, the deeper the stretch potential. 2 Cross one leg over the other a...nd slowly glide it down the leg into figure 4 position. 3 Slowly glide the other leg down the wall as far down as you can. Swiss Ball Hamstring Curls Hamstring strength and flexibility is important for the back, hips and knees to function well. Here is a challenging exercise that targets not only the hamstrings, but also core and gluteus muscles. 1 Lie flat on the ground with lower leg/heels on stability ball. Your feet should be a little bit apart (about hip width). Keep arms out to your side to help stabilize body. ... 2 Contract your abs and glutes while bringing your hips upward. Your legs/heels should be pushing into the ball. 3 When you’re in the up position, start to slowly bring your heels towards your hips (the ball should be slowly rolling towards you). Make sure to keep your abs and glutes tight, and slowly return back to start position. If you want to increase the challenge, put your feet close together on the ball. Make sure not to arch your back.
