Wedge cut, covered her gray sprinkles with a dark blonde base and added some soft highlights on my sweet mom! #wedgehaircut#razorhaircut#shorthaircuts#shorthairstyles#softhighlights

Blonde Bombshell! This week I got the privilege of meeting this sweet girl as she sat in my chair for the first time. She showed me some inspiration pics, we spoke about her hair history, hair routine, color maintenance, hair products and service cost. Many factors go into deciding how I approach my creative work on each client. I use different techniques, formulations and steps on every client to meet according to goal we are trying to meet or the look we are trying to maintain. On this beauty I used #freehandbalayage #hairpainting. What do you think?

#repost @cdcgov @gavinnewsom OPEN OUR SALONS!

The Refinery Salon-Irvine 27.10.2020

#Repost from @pompsalon Much respect for our friend @alenm for supporting the hair community in opening safely on August 17th. @opensafecalifornia is about opening all salons in California. There has been virtually ZERO evidence of community spread of COVID-19 from hair salons and yet we're closed.... I've reached out to other salon owners as well to join the movement. Many have, a few wait. Any movement takes courage, doesn't it? Waiting may seem like the safe bet but the consequences of not acting could be FAR more disastrous than any fine or a reprimanding letter. Waiting it out will bring the end to many businesses, many dreams, many careers, and even families as they deal with financial ruin and bankruptcies. A lot of stylists/owners still are not looking far enough out. This lockout could, and I believe will last for several months unless we act. There is virtually NO evidence to support this selective closure of our industry. To the uninformed it makes sense. We work closely with clients. We touch them. However, both worker and customer have the ability to wear face coverings at all times unlike many other businesses that remain open. Studies prove, one in fact by the CDC, that hair salons ARE safe precisely because we CAN wear masks at all times even though we often cannot create a 6 foot distance. When we reopened for 7 weeks we serviced something like 15,000 clients - NO client Covid cases. Not one. The government simply did not make an informed decision. They made the wrong decision. Their decision was not based on facts, data, evidence. They simply thought, ok, these people touch other people, let's close them and that's not how decisions should be made especially when those decisions affect the lives of real people. Most of whom are mothers, many of whom are the bread winners in their families. They have been sent home without one shred of evidence to support the action and they've been given $167 per week to pay their bills and feed their kids (that's the self-employed cap) We cannot allow this. Salon owners! Stylists! There is nobody coming to save you. I wish there was. It's time to save yourselves. Join us and open your salon on August 17th. See more

As a licensed hairstylist for 15 years, we are trained in disinfection, sanitation and infectious disease. We know and understand the importance of keeping everyone safe and have adhered to these high standards even before being reminded of this in the current time. Our industry needs your support in allowing salons to re-open their doors because we can service our clients safely and responsibility indoors better than we can outside. Gavin Newsom Let us open our salons! #saveoursalons #wearethebeautyindustry #opencaliforniasalons @inevitablebusiness @cabarbercosmo

For the last 32 years I have loved what I do to make a living! A living that has helped to support myself and my family! A living that has become increasingly difficult to provide for my family. As a a licensed and trained cosmetology professional and salon owner, I have, first and foremost, been educated in the importance of proper sanitation, health and safety for myself and my clients, even before learning about the technical and creative aspects of my profession. I love t...he creativity and artistry I’m allowed to express in my work. I love working alongside my best friends. Most importantly, I love the relationships that have developed with my clients over the last 32 years. I value them! I would never compromise their health or safety while in my care. I have taken all the necessary precautions and followed all the public health guidelines in order to keep myself and my clients as safe as possible. PLEASE @gavinnewsom LET US OPEN OUR SALONS! #wearethebeautyindustry #opencaliforniasalons @inevitablebusiness @cabarbercosmo See more

Beautiful #carmelhighlights created on this clean canvas using #foilayage with #redkenflashlift lightener to lighten, then refined her final tone with #redkenshadeseq #gloss. What do ya think?#beforeandafter#haircolor #hair#brunettebalayage

The Refinery Salon-Irvine 05.09.2020

Adding DEPTH...This sweet gal needed her regrowth (with a few gray sparklers) colored, but also wanted some dimension in her hair. Her locks were a nice natural blonde tone on its own , but adding some depth just created a nice change and made the lightness around her face really SHINE ! #beforeandafter#lowlights #faceframehighlights #haircolor#hair#dimensionalblonde#moneypiece

The Refinery Salon-Irvine 29.08.2020

Swipe to see before pics. She wanted to enhance and brighten up her own color that was growing in a bit darker and mousy. She had never had any hair color prior. Seeing that she wanted a low maintenance natural look, one more replicate of her younger self, I decided to brighter her up implementing the #balayage technique. The regrowth with be soft and defused and look very natural as her hair grows with a #balayagerefresher about 1-2 times a year. #blondehair #goldenblonde #blondebalayage #lowmaintenancehair @ The Refinery Salon-Irvine

Copper Hair I love this beautiful #redcopper color on her. She has the most amazing light green eyes that really pop when complimented with this shiny rich #copperhair!

The Refinery Salon-Irvine 28.06.2020

First time doing any coloring to her hair. She was excited, but nervous too. I assured her that #balayage was the way to do to give her a nice #sunkissed #highlighted look. Her natural base color appears to melt into beautiful golden carmel color. She loved it! And I loved making her so happy by doing my job! #lovemyjob#lovemaking peoplehappy#spreadjoy #lovemyclients @ The Refinery Salon-Irvine
